Who Needs Treatment?
Learn about who needs treatment for trauma recovery
Every person processes trauma in a unique manner. But sometimes, a traumatic event can severely impair your mental health. If you’re struggling to cope in the aftermath of trauma, you may need professional care to heal.
Trauma can cause the onset of a mental illness, or cause existing symptoms to get worse. Certain events may put you at greater risk for developing trauma-related illnesses such as anxiety, depression, or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
If you’ve experienced any of the following, know that Delta Medical Center’s Trauma Recovery Program can help:
- Abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)
- Natural disaster
- Unexpected loss of a loved one
- Military combat
