We are committed to providing comprehensive evaluation and care for each patient, and their family. Located within a full service medical center, our unique integration of behavioral health and medical services, not found elsewhere in the area, allows us to meet this goal.
At Delta, we are aware of how concerning it may be when you or a loved one experiences memory problems, behavior problems, sudden mental status changes such as disorientation, severe depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions. That is why we have designed a specialty unit to address the particular needs of our community’s senior population.
Within Delta’s Senior Care Unit we provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment options. Our Senior Programs focus on inpatient assessment and intervention techniques to address the psychological, cognitive, behavioral, and medical health issues that are unique to this age group. Our main objectives are to promote the highest level of overall functioning in each individual who comes to us for help.
All participants in our program are treated by an extensively trained interdisciplinary staff made up of physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, nutritionists, physical therapists, and recreational therapists. Services are provided in a compassionate, safe environment where we make sure to provide the opportunity to interact with peers who can relate to your unique situation and issues. Family members are included in many aspects of the patient’s treatment and are encouraged to participate throughout the process.
Our staff also always ensures that each participant in our program, and involved family members, always have someone to turn to if they have questions or are just having a rough day.
Our range of treatment options focus on inpatient crisis stabilization with special services for seniors who are exhibiting altered mental status, behavior problems, agitation, sudden memory loss, or the symptoms of a psychiatric disorder such as depression or anxiety. While our emphasis in this program is on observation, assessment, and stabilization, we attend to the needs of the whole person by including therapeutic activities for your individual psychiatric, emotional, social, and medical needs. This lets you or your loved one get a head start on addressing the issues brought to light through the results of the evaluation process, before moving on to what you and the treatment team determine is the most appropriate next step.
At Delta, our behavioral health and medical professionals will be available to you and your loved ones to provide information, support, education, and therapeutic interactions to ensure the needs of the entire family are met and you and your loved ones can rest at ease.
