Purpose: Delta Medical Center's Pulmonary Rehab offers services that reduce, control and alleviate symptoms and complications associated with moderate to severe pulmonary disease. This is accomplished through a program of exercise and education.
Eligibility
- A diagnosis of moderate to severe pulmonary disease
- Difficulty breathing that prevents or decreases the patient's ability to perform the activities or daily living.
- Patient must be a non-smoker or participant of a smoking cessation program.
Program Design: Our Pulmonary Rehab Program is designed to meet 2-3 tims per week over an 8-12 week course. The cost of the program can be covered by Medicare or other private insurances. Pulmonary Rehab provides multi-disciplinary training to improve the patients ability to function and cope with progressive lung disease.
How to get started: All Pulmonary Rehab services are provided on an outpatient basis. All interested participants must receive approval from their Primary Care Physician. Talk to your physician to ge a referral, then call us to schedule your evaluation.
