Delta Medical Center's Behavioral Health programs include comprehensive behavioral health and medical assessments provided by a qualified interdisciplinary treatment team. Because our Behavioral Health units are located in a full-service hospital, we can address both medical and behavioral health problems. Family members are included in many aspects of the patient's treatment, and are encouraged to participate throughout the process. Collection and analysis of data guides decisions on care and dictates an individualized direction for treatment. This integrated process for determining and prioritizing patient needs includes:
- Admission assessment
- Psychiatric evaluation, including comprehensive mental status examination
- Ongoing nursing assessment
- Medical history and physical examination
- Diagnostic testing and interpretation
- Psychosocial assessment and discharge planning
- Recreational activities
- Medication management
- Individual, group, and family therapy

Admission is simple! Dial (901) 369-6021 and select option 3 for a free and confidential intake interview or to make a referral. Our toll-free number is 1-800-285-9502. After 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and on weekends, call the main hospital number (901) 369-8100 and ask for the appropriate service. Each service may be called directly at the number provided on their page. Staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Financial Information
Delta Medical Center accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, Mississippi Medicaid and Arkansas Medicaid. Financial counseling is available, and satisfactory arrangements can be made to best suit the needs of each family.
