Delta Medical Center's Senior Care Unit is an inpatient diagnostic and treatment program designed to address the medical and behavioral health concerns unique to older adults. Treatment strategies focus on medical stabilization and management, as well as promoting optimal cognitive, social, and behavioral functioning of each patient. Patients are treated by an experienced staff in a supportive, secure environment that includes the opportunity to interact with peers that can relate to their special circumstances.

To provide stabilization by restoring physical and behavioral health, dignity, and self-respect to the aged adult.
To assist the family in planning and providing care for their elderly family member.
To protect and ensure patient rights.
 
Services
 
Comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and behavioral assessments are provided by a qualified interdisciplinary staff of physicians, nurses, counselors and social workers, nutritionists, physical therapists, and recreational therapists. Family members are included in many aspects of the patient's treatment and are encouraged to participate throughout the process.
