Delta Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health Services provides ambulatory, active treatment programs that offer therapeutically intense, coordinated, and structured clinical services.The program goal is stabilization of the patient, with the intention of averting inpatient hospitalization or reducing the length of the hospital stay.
Services
Delta Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health Services provides three distinct levels of care. The levels of care will be flexible and individualized to meet the patient's needs and will focus on the psychological, psychosocial, and medication management.
1. Partial Hospitalization (PHP)-- Patients attend the program during the day and return to their home in the evening. The PHP operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Patients attend five (5) days per week. Twenty (20) hours of therapy are provided each week, which includes individual, group and family psychotherapy.
2. Intensive Outpatient (IOP)-- Less intense than PHP. The patients also receive treatment services during the day and return home at night. The IOP operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Patients attend three (3) days per week. Individual, group, and family psychotherapy are provided.
Comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and psychosocial assessments are provided by a qualified interdisciplinary treatment team that includes registered nurses, licensed social workers and counselors, and mental health technicians working under the direction of the psychiatrist.
Transportation and lunch are provided.
Admission Criteria
� The patient is age 18 and above.
� The patient has symptoms and/or behaviors that cause significant interference with social, vocational, and/or educational functioning.
� The patients does not require 24 hour care and has an adequate support system.
� The patient is not considered to be a danger to self or others.
� The patient needs active clinical monitoring and psychiatric medication management to prevent inpatient hospitalization.
3. Individual Counseling
Delta Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health Services offers individual counseling sessions for patients seeking the least restrictive level of therapeutic intervention.
Sessions are for adults age 18 and older and are by appointment Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
